Delaware SHIP Coalition Holiday Party

Monday December 16th, 2024

On Friday, April 18, graduate assistant, Catlynn Senquiz, presented a research poster on the SHIP Coalition’s impact on Delawareans at the 3rd Annual InnovatHER: Empowering Women in STEM Research Showcase, hosted by UD Grad Scientista. The event allowed students to present research, develop skills, and connect with peers and professionals. Catlynn’s poster highlighted the Coalition's community impact! UD CHS Research and Innovation Day

Thursday March 20th, 2025

On Thursday, March 20th, two graduate assistants from the SHIP team participated in the University of Delaware's College of Health Sciences Research and Innovation Day. Catlynn Senquiz presented a poster highlighting how the SHIP Coalition is working to improve the health of Delaware. Grace Hrustich showcased her research on the importance of health literacy and the Vital Condition Framework. Both posters are available below in the Poster Presentation section of this page.

Delaware SHIP Coalition Holiday Party

Monday December 16th, 2024

On Monday, December 16th, the SHIP team, in collaboration with the Delaware Division of Public Health, hosted a hybrid coalition meeting at the University of Delaware’s Health Sciences Complex Atrium. The first portion of the meeting focused on providing updates on several exciting developments, including upcoming announcements, the Teams Community Calendar, legislative updates, SHA public comment feedback, and the Health Literacy Appendix. Following the meeting, coalition members had the opportunity to network and strengthen connections with one another. Gun Violence and Public Health Forum

Monday November 18th, 2024

On Monday November 18th, SHIP team members, Dr. Alexandra Wynn, who is a Postdoctoral Researcher, and Katlyn Cullhane-Suluai, who serves as the Program Manager, was able to attend the Gun Violence and Public Health Forum in Wilmington, Delaware. This event was hosted by the Coalition for a Safe Delaware. Dr. Wynn had the opportunity to serve as a panelist on behalf of the SHA/SHIP. During her time on the panel, Dr. Wynn discussed what we have been doing as a state, what we want to do next and identified any gaps. She was able to provide a holistic perspective, while tying in the vital conditions, as to why gun violence is an issue.

2019 SHIP Stakeholder Meeting

SHIP Stakeholder Meeting 2019

Stakeholders from around the State gathered to discuss Delaware’s State Health Improvement Plan, network with key programs, and focus on the needs and focus areas in Delaware. The Executive Summary and complete 2019 SHIP Annual Report were available ahead of the meeting. The meeting was held in the Audion at STAR Tower, University of Delaware on Wednesday, October 23, 2019.
